Name: Rebecca Donovan
Discipline/s: Showjumping
Year started riding:6yrs old
Year started competition:10yrs old
Saddle/s you ride in: Currently it is the Prestige Meredith X however I previously had a Prestige Paris D that lasted well over 10 years and it was my all time favourite
Favourite Product: All Prestige Italia saddlery from the saddles that combine stylish comfort and innovative technology to fit both horse and rider, to other leather equipment such as the beautiful bridles and martingales with ornate stitching, to the leather cleaning products that always leave the leather looking and feeling soft like new.
A bit about your riding career: I started riding at Broadacres Riding School then progressed onto owning my own pony that my parents bought when I was 8. This was a barely broken in 4yo from 'Project Hope' (horse rescue organisation) that taught me stickability skills from a young age. From there I went through the pony club ranks and enjoyed what was then 'hacking' (now show horse) and low-level competitions in a range of disciplines. I started showjumping after moving down to the Byford area in the 90's, meeting Chadd, then the rest is history. Now I am lucky enough to have the support of Chadd and together we have Donovan Showjumping where we work with breeders like Jennie Franceschi from Jakoma Equestrian to bring along young horses with the goal of taking them as far as we can in the showjumping arena
Most Memorable Moment
