Sophie Warren
RIDER PROFILE
Name: Sophie Warren
Discipline/s: Eventing
Year started riding: I am pretty sure I have a photo of me sitting on a horse as a toddler and the horse is getting led by our Labrador.
Year started competition: 1999
Saddle/s you ride in:
Prestige X-Advanced. I have my eye on one of the new ASX models and can’t wait to incorporate those to my collection!
Favourite Product:
My Advanced saddle for jumping in, it keeps me safe and sound! I also love Tonics tall boots for everyday use.
A bit about your riding career:
I’ve been riding for as long as I can remember, growing up in a horsey family and representing Australia as a young rider. Since then, I’ve produced and competed horses to the highest level in eventing, as well as riding overseas. I now combine competition with coaching and training, with a strong focus on ethical, evidence-based horsemanship.
Most Memorable Moment:
Competing for Australia was definitely a career highlight, but one of the most special moments was winning both the CCI4*-L and CCN1*-L at Wooroloo International Horse Trials in 2010 aboard Let’s Impress and Statford Mojave. It took me another eleven years to win a long format again—this time with Hazid Road at CCI2*-L in 2021—which just goes to show how rare and rewarding those moments truly are!
